Mohammad Amir (born 13 April 1992) is a Pakistani cricketer and bowler of the Pakistan national team of cricket. He is a left-handed Medium-fast bowler and a left-handed batsman. Amir made his debut in the first class in November 2008 and also made his initial One-Day International and Test appearances on July 9, 2009, during summer 2009 in Sri Lanka at the age of 17 years old. He took part in his first international game during the 2009 ICC World Twenty20, helping Sri Lanka to win the tournament.
Early Life
Amir was born on 13 April 1992 in Changa Bangial, Gujar Khan, Punjab, Pakistan. He is the son of Raja Muhammad Fayyaz. He was the second-youngest out of the seven kids. “Wasim Akram is my favorite bowler, he’s my idol. When I used to watch him on TV, I would try to see what exactly he was doing with the ball. Then I would go outside and imitate his actions and bowling.”
In 2003 at the age of 11 years old, Amir was noticed during a local competition He was then invited by the academy created by Asif Bajwa who is the director of the Bajwa Cricket Academy, in Rawalpindi. After being selected for the national team, Amir was able to move into Lahore together with their family in order to be closer to the top cricket facilities.
Family
Mohammad Amir was born into a Punjabi Muslim family in Gujjar Khan, Pakistan. The name of his father is Naseem Akhtar. His mother’s name isn’t widely recognized. Amir also has 5 siblings comprising three brothers and two sisters.

Education
He attended a school in the local area of his hometown in Gujjar Khan, Pakistan, before embarking on an athletic career in cricket. The early success of Amir in the field of cricket meant that Amir had to concentrate solely on his game, and this might limit his chances of pursuing formal training.
Domestic and T20 Career
Amir was first picked as a fast bowler by ex-Pakistani speed bowler Wasim Akram in a fast cricket camp held in 2007. Amir who was just 15 years old and young, was selected for an overseas visit to England as part of his Pakistan Cricket team for the U-19 age group. He was one of the best bowlers. He scored 8 wickets with a rate of 16.37. Mohammad Amir scored 4 wickets in two consecutive games with Sri Lanka and England.
In this tri-nation event held within Sri Lanka, he again excelled in his speed and swing bowling, taking 9 wickets with the rate of 11.22 in just three games. Because of injury, he took only a small part in the 2008 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup which was held in Malaysia.
T10 Franchise Career
He was hired by Bangla Tigers for the 2021-22 T10 League but made himself ineligible after a positive test for COVID-19.

International Career
Amir made his debut as an international player in the match against England in the groups in the 2009 ICC World Twenty20. He was able to take his wicket from Ravi Bopara with only his second ball which was a success, with Shoaib Malik grabbing a superb catch.
He only conceded one run on his first international over. Amir was able to make the One Day International match debut against Sri Lanka taking 3 wickets at an economy rate of 4.50 and scoring 23 runs.
