He was selected for Pakistan’s One Day International team (ODI) for the series against Australia in March 2019. On 24 March 2019, he made his ODI debut against Australia for Pakistan.
He was selected for Pakistan’s 2019 Cricket World Cup squad in April 2019. On 5 May 2019, he made his Twenty20 International (T20I), debut for Pakistan against England. At 19 years old and 183 days, Hasnain was the youngest bowler to score a hat trick in a T20I match.
