Nicholas Pooran (born 2 October 1995) is a Trinidadian cricketer currently playing with the West Indies cricket team in limited-overs cricket. In addition, the past captain of the limited-overs format. He also is a player with Trinidad and Tobago in West Indian domestic cricket matches.
He made his debut international in The West Indies in September 2016. On May 20, 2022, Pooran became the team captain for the West Indies team for limited overs cricket. On the 21st of November, 2022 Pooran was removed as captain of limited overs for the West Indies team.
Family
Nicholas Pooran was born into the Trinidad family. Nicholas isn’t revealing any information regarding his parents. However, he does have one sister. Nicholas’s girlfriend is Alyssa Miguel (aka Kathrina Miguel). Also, Nicholas proposed to Alyssa Miguel to marry her. On the 30th of May in 2021 Nicholas Pooran married Katharina Miguel (wife).

In January 2023 Pooran welcomed a baby girl along with his wife Katrina Miguel.
Domestic Career
The three of them, McBean, Couva, and Pand ocean was a student at Naparima College in San Fernando and played for Naparima College’s team of cricket players. A left-handed wicket-keeper/batsman, he represented Trinidad and Tobago at various underage and schoolboys tournaments and made his national under-19 debut at the 2012 regional tournament, aged only 16.
T20 Franchise Career
In February 2017, the team was purchased in February 2017 by the Mumbai Indians team for the 2017 Indian Premier League for INR 30 lakhs, but he didn’t play every game of the season. Pooran was a player with Islamabad United in the 2017 Pakistan Super League in which the team was selected to replace British player Ben Duckett in United’s squad.
Pooran was not sold in the 2017 IPL auction after he set his price as INR 50 lakhs. In October of 2018, the team was named the Sylhet Sixers team, following the draw to play in the 2018-19 Bangladesh Premier League. He was the top scorer for the team during the tournament, scoring 379 runs across 11 matches.
International Career
The player made his Twenty20 International (T20I) debut for the West Indies against Pakistan on 23 September i016. In November of o018, the team was selected as a member of the West IIndiessquad for their trip to India. In the third T20I match, He scored an unbeaten 53 runs in only 25 balls, claiming his first half-century in T20I cricket.
