Personal Life

Nikhila Vimal was the daughter of the late M. R. Pavithran and Kalamandalam Vmaladevi. Her father is a retired statistician, while her mother is a ballet dancer. Akhila Vimal, her elder sister, is a researcher in Theater arts at Jawaharlal Nehru University.

The mother’s name is the inspiration for her name, ‘Vimal’. Nikhila Vimal was a master of Bharata Natyam. Kuchipudi, Kerala Natanam, monoact and Kuchipudi. Nikhila Vimal also participated in youth festivals. She received her B.Sc. She received her B.Sc. in Botany from Sir Syed College in Taliparamba.

Career

In a documentary about Saint Alphonsa, she began her television acting career. In 2009, Bhagyadevatha was her first film. She was in a supporting role. In 2015, she was the lead actress in Sreebalak Menon’s Love 24×7 (2015). Dileep was her partner. Panjumittai, her Tamil debut is where she plays the opposite of Ma Ka Pa Anand.

Onbathu Kuzhi Sapath is her second Tamil film. It is still to be released. Vetrivel (2016) was her first Tamil film. Latha was one of three heroines in the film. All praised her performance in Vetrivel (2016). Even though her role was small, everyone was impressed by her performance in the film. Nikhilathen was offered the role of a lead in M.Sasikumar’s production Kidaari (2016), as a partner to Sasikumar.
