Nitin Kumar Reddy (born 30 March 1983) professionally known as Nithin is an Indian actor and producer who is primarily in Telugu films. Niithin’s work has garnered him a Filmfare Award and two nominations for the Filmfare Award for Best Actor – Telugu.

Nithin began his career as an actor in the year 2002 in the romance action movie Jayam (2002). He was awarded the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut – South for his performance. Nithin later appeared on screen in Dil (2003), Sri Anjaneya (2004) as well as Sye (2004). After a string of failed films on the screen, Nithin achieved success with the romantic film Ishq (2012).

The other films he has made success with comprise Gunde jaari gallanthayyinde (2013), Heart Attack (2014), A Aa (2016), and Bheeshma (2020) with Rang De (2021). In 2013, Nithin created his film-making company, Shresht Movies. Nithin is a representative of the Swachh Bharat campaign for the state of Telangana.

Early Life

Nithin aged 34, was born on 30 March 1983, in Nizamabad, Telangana, India. He was a student at Ratna Junior College, Hyderabad. His father’s name is Sudhakar R. Reddy film director and distributor, and his mother was Vidhya Reddy. He has a sister who is named Nikitha Reddy Film producer. Nitin is single and not in a relationship with anyone. He is Hindu according to his religion. His Horoscope/Sun Sign is Aries.

Personal Life

Nitin Kumar Reddy is the son of the film distributor Sudhakar Reddy and Laxmi Reddy. He has an older sister who is named Nikitha Reddy. He finished his schooling at Geetanjali School in Begumpet and completed his intermediate education at Ratna Junior College and pursued his degree from Shadan College of Engineering and Technology, Gandipet.

His father then became a producer and made two films with him: Gunde Jaari Galanthayyinde and Chinnadana Nee Kosam. Nithin has added an additional “i” in his name and has it spelled with the letters Nithin.In 2021, Nithin got engaged with partner Shalini Kandukuri.

Career

Nithin began his career in the film Jayam he made in 2002 which was written and directed by Teja. Sadha played the lead female role, while Gopichand played the role of the villain in the film. The film was remade in the hands of Jayam Ravi in Tamil. It was in 2003 that Nitin played the lead role in the film Dil produced by V. V. Vinayak.

The film is produced by Raju who was given the name “Dil Raju” after this film. In the same year, Nithin played in the feature film Sambaram which was written by Dasarath. K. In the year 2004, Nitin starred in Sri Anjaneyam produced by Krishna Vamsi. Nitin was an ardent devotee to the god Lord Hanuman in the film. This is the first time Nithin recorded his own voice for the film, Sivaji dubbed his voice in earlier films.
