Nitish Rana was born on December 27, 1993, into a family of Rajputs, he is a professional Indian cricketer who currently holds the position of captain for the Delhi team in domestic cricket and Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Known for his aggressive style of left-handed batting, Rana also possesses skills as a part-time off-spin bowler. In November 2018, he was appointed as the captain of the Delhi team, replacing Gautama Gambhir. Rana earned his debut for the Indian national team in July 2021.

He was born into a middle-class Hindu family on December 27, 1993, in Delhi, India. His father, Dara Singh Rana, is a Math professor at a college, and his mother, Satish Rana, is a homemaker. He has an elder brother named Ashish Rana and a sister named Vishakha Rana.

Nitish Rana, the Indian cricketer, was born on December 27, 1993, in the capital city of Delhi, India. He grew up in Delhi and had a strong passion for cricket since childhood.

Education

After completing his early schooling at DAV Centenary Public School, Nitish Rana enrolled at Vidya Jain School where he continued to pursue his interest in cricket from 2008 to 2010.

On February 18, 2019, Nitish Rana tied the knot with his long-time girlfriend Saachi Marwah, who happens to be a cousin-sister of Indian comedian Krushna Abhishek.

Domestic Cricket

Nitish Rana is a talented cricketer who made his debut in domestic cricket back in 2015. He played for Delhi in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, where he showcased his impressive batting skills and caught the attention of many. His talent did not go unnoticed as he was soon picked up by the Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League (IPL) auction in 2015.

International Career

On 23 July 2021, Nitish Rana marked his One Day International (ODI) debut for India against Sri Lanka, after being named in the ODI and T20I squads in June 2021. He scored 7 runs off 14 balls in his debut game. Later, on 28 July 2021, he made his debut in the T20I format for India against Sri Lanka.

IPL

In 2015, Mumbai Indians bought Nitish Rana for 10 Lakh rupees, but he did not get to play any matches in that year’s IPL tournament. However, the franchise retained him for the following year’s IPL, but once again he did not get any chance to play in the 2016 season of the tournament.
