According to Chandhini R of Cinema Express, the series Oru Kodai Murder Mystery is partially engaging and partially wishy-washy, providing a mix of suspense and sentiment that mostly resonates with Gen Z. She rated the series 3/5. Similarly, Thinkal Menon from OTT Play, HT Media, gave the series 3 stars out of 5 and stated that the series is a mixed bag of surprises and disappointments.
The protagonist’s challenges immediately connect with the audience, but the amateurishness in certain scenes and dialogues lets the series down.
