Parvathy completed her B.A. in English Literature from All Saints College in Thiruvananthapuram. She excelled as a television anchor at Kiran TV, a music channel based in Thiruvananthapuram, and is also trained in Bharatanatyam dance.

Career
Out of Syllabus is a 2006 Malayalam language movie directed by A Viswanathan. The film was released on February 17th, 2006. The plot revolves around Gopikrishnan, a naive rural boy who enrolls in a large college, only to become the target of campus ridicule. Despite facing many challenges, he managed to become the College Union Chairman through his determination and the support of his friend Namitha.
During his time in college, Gopi reconnects with Gayathri, an old classmate. As Gopi becomes closer to Gayathri, he starts to drift away from Namitha, but they eventually reconcile. The movie portrays the college scenes in a realistic manner.
Arjun Sasi, a DJ for SS Music, plays the lead role in the film. Praseetha, a former model who made her debut as an actress, stars as the female lead, Namitha, under the stage name Niranjana.
