Story

Pookkaalam is a Malayalam movie written and directed by Ganesh Raj. The film boasts an ensemble cast including Vijayaraghavan, KPAC Leela, Suhasini, Vineeth Sreenivasan, and Basil Joseph in lead roles. This film marks Ganesh Raj’s second directorial venture after ‘Anandam’. Produced by Vinod Shornur and Thomas Thiruvalla, the film’s teaser received a positive response from the audience. Anend C.

Production

Following his debut film Aanandam, director Ganesh Raj devoted four years to crafting the script of Pookkaalam. Alongside the release of the film’s first look poster, he shared a heartfelt note that read, “Pookkaalam The season of growth, change, and Love.”

The movie was produced by Vinod Shornur for CNC Cinemas in collaboration with Thomas Thiruvalla Films, helmed by Thomas Thiruvalla. Sachin Warrier was brought on board to compose the music and background score for the film. Notably, actress Honey Rose also made a cameo appearance in Pookkaalam.

Release Date

The movie Pookkaalam premiered on May 19, 2023, on the streaming platform Hotstar. Vijayaraghavan, a talented actor in the Malayalam industry, delivered a remarkable performance in his recent film Kaduva, which starred Prithviraj Sukumaran. In Pookkaalam, Vijayaraghavan portrays an important character, further showcasing his acting prowess.
