Prithvi Shaw, an Indian international cricketer, plays for Mumbai in domestic cricket as well as Delhi Capitals in Indian Premier League. His full name is Prithvi Pankaj Shaw. He is a right-handed cricketer. Prithvi was born in Thane, Maharashtra (India) on November 9, 1999, to a Bihari family. He is from Gaya, Bihar.

He signed him up with his sports management company for INR 300,000.

Personal Life

Prithvi Shaw was conceived in Thane, Maharashtra, on 9th November 1999. When he was four years old, his mother died. He began to focus on cricket as a way to cope. His father, a merchant, decided to concentrate on his son’s business and he closed his garment trading business. With the generous contract from AAP Entertainment, the duo moved to Santacruz, Mumbai. He is currently studying for his graduation at Rizvi College.

Career

Prithvi Shaw began his cricket career at a young age when he was enrolled by his father in Virar’s cricket academy. Later, he joined the Middle Income Group (MIG), Cricket Club in Mumbai where he continued to sharpen his skills. AAP Entertainment, a company that manages sports, offered him a contract worth PRs 300,000. He was able to sustain his career and relocate to Mumbai.

In 2012, he was chosen for a three-month visit to Cheadle-Hume School in Manchester. The purpose of the trip was to learn and train under different conditions. He learned how to adapt to English weather conditions and was even selected to represent Gloucestershire’s second cricket team.

Bradfield College and Julian Wood Cricket Academy invited him to participate in a personal development program for cricket and cricket players. Since then, he has been to England multiple times and played in different leagues.

Record

Shaw scored 546 runs from just 330 deliveries in the 2013-14 Harris Shield match against Rizvi Springfield. The score was at the time the highest ever recorded in Indian school cricket. Pranav Dhanawade broke the record in 2016. Pranav Dhanawade also holds the record for scoring a century in their Ranji trophy debut and Duleep trophy debut, along with Tendulkar.
