Rahat Kazmi is a Pakistani actor anchorman of TV news anchorman and academic. He has been a part of several television serials on PTV like 1967’s Mayaar and 1974’s Qurbatain our Faaslay and 1976’s Pakistan’s first classic and colored serial Parchaiyan. Early Life
He was born June 30th, 1946 in Simla, India. The father of Rahat was an attorney by trade and he desired Rahat’s son to be able to follow in his footsteps. Rahat finished high school in Rawalpindi.
Rahat was able to complete and receive his degree as a lawyer in Lahore. In addition, Rahat received his master’s degree in political sciences from a Government college and an advanced diploma in English literary studies from Punjab University.
Career
He was a member of his position in Pakistani Civil Services in 1968 as an Information Officer. In 1976, he resigned from his position and began working as an actor. At present, Rahat is the administrative director at L’ecole of Advanced Studies(LAS) which is an academic institution in Karachi.
Rahat also instructs English literature and drama to A-level pupils in LAS, Karachi. Rahat Kazmi has also been the IDJIT director of the National Academy of Performing Arts. He previously taught at the Avicenna School and Hamdard University (Clifton Campus, Karachi) in 2001.
