Rekha was born Bhanurekha Ganesan on the 10th of October 1954, in Tamil Nadu, India, is an Indian actress who has been featured in Bollywood films. She is 69 years old.

She is known for her versatility and versatility as an actor Rekha was especially praised for her female-oriented roles, like the schoolgirl in Khubsoorat and the avenger who is decisive from Khoon Bhari Maang. Both roles brought Rekha an award from Filmfare Best Actress Award.

Personal Life

Rekha has had several failed relationships with other Bollywood stars, including Amitabh Bachchan and Vinod Mehra, and then in the year 1990, she got married to the Delhi-based businessman Mukesh Aggarwal who committed suicide in the year 1991.

Rumors suggested that she had been engaged to actress Vinod Mehra, in 1973, however during a television interview with Simi Garewal, she denied that she was married to him and referred to Vinod Mehra as a “well-wisher”.

Political Career

A lot of politicians opposed her as elected to the Rajya Sabha since she was absent from the meeting. Rekha’s nomination was also made during the Rajya Sabha in April 2012 alongside Sachin Tendulkar. In the end, she elects by the Food, Consumer Affairs, and Public Distribution Committee. Rekha is still at the Rajya Sabha only for 80 days out of 348.

Career

Due to the high amount of financial stress within her household at that time, she was left with no choice but to take on the role. She was in search of employment at the time, and as both her parents worked for the Telugu film industry it was possible for her to land a part in one film titled Rangula Ratnam. This was her debut public appearance as a child actor (in 1996).

Her first lead role as an actress came as part of The Kannada film Goadalli CID999. She was a heroine in Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi films. Her Hindi film Sawan Bhadon, which was released in the year 2000, became a box-office hit. The film helped her climb to fame in just a few seconds.

The reason for this was that Rekha reports having asked Amitabh Bachchan to get married since she did not wish to be considered the”other” wife in their life. But, Amitabh Bachchan was not prepared to part with their wife Jaya at the time. The couple eventually decided to take different paths in their lives.
