Rohit Sharma is an Indian international cricketer who is the vice-captain for the Indian OOD and T20 teams. He is also the leader of the Mumbai Indians IPL team. The right-handed batsman is known as “The Hitman” for his power-hitting abilities and has recorded a record three double-centuries during ODIs with centuries in the Test and T20 formats too.

Rohit Gurunath Sharma was born on the 30th of April 1987, in Bansod, Nagpur, Maharashtra in Maharashtra, India to Gurunath Sharma, the caretaker of a storehouse run by the transport company, and Purnima Sharma.

On the 13th of December in 2015. Rohit Sharma got married to his manager, friend, and wife for six years Ritika Sajdeh. He was introduced by a senior player Yuvraj Singh in the year 2008. They reside in a 4-BHK apartment located in Ahuja Towers, Worli, Mumbai.
International Career
Rohit Sharma was able to make his debut ODI appearance against Ireland in Belfast during the India tour in 2007 but he was not given the chance to bat during the game. In 2007 the ‘Man of the Match was awarded for taking India to victory by scoring an unbeaten score of 50 off 40 deliveries in the match against South Africa in the 2007 ICC World Twenty20 on September 20th, 2017.
He was selected to play in his 2007-08 Commonwealth Bank Series in Australia due to his first OOD half-century against Pakistan in Jaipur on the 18th of November, 2007. In Australia the series, he posted two more half-centuries. He also scored a 66 in the opening final in Sydney during India’s impressive run chase.
