Personal Life

Bijlani and Salman Khan began dating in 1986 while they were still modeling and their relationship lasted ten years. Bijlani wed cricketer Mohammed Azharuddin on 14 November 1996 at a reception at Taj Mahal Hotel, Mumbai. According to reports, Azhar had an affair with Jwala Gutta (a badminton player), and the couple divorced in 2010.

Bollywood’s Debut and Success

Bijlani’s Bollywood debut was in 1987 with Qatil. She was opposite Aditya Pancholi. After Qatil, she went on to appear in Tridev and Hathyar as well as Yugandhar and Izzat. Vishnu Vardhan was her bilingual director.

Filmfare awarded her the Best Supporting Actress category in Jurm, opposite Vinod Khanna. She was directed by Mahesh Bhatti and scripted and written by Salim Khan. She has worked with Mahesh Bhatt and Mukul Anand as well as Rahul Rawail, J.P. Dutta, and N. Chandra.
