Satish was born in Mahendragarh (Haryana) on 13 April 1956. He graduated from Kirori Mal College at Delhi University in 1972. He graduated from the National School of Drama and Film and Television Institute of India.

Satish Chandra Kaushik, an Indian actor, director, and producer, was also a comedian and screenwriter. His roles as “Calendar”, “Pappu Pager”, and “Chanu Ahmad” in Sarah Gavron’s Brick Lane (2007) film earned him recognition as a film actor.
His most famous performance as a theatre performer was his role as “Willy Loman”, in the Hindi version of Arthur Miller’s Death of a Salesman. He was the one who wrote the lines for the timeless comedy Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron (1983) by Kundan Shah.
