In his early days playing cricket, he was on rough fields in the village close to a riverbank of the Indus River, which is located in Punjab Province.

Career
On the 18th of December, 2020 Khan took charge of the Pakistan team for the first time in an international game and he was the captain of the team in the opening Twenty20 International (T20I) against New Zealand during Babar’s injury. On the 26th of August, 2016 Khan played his Twenty20 debut in Rawalpindi during the 2016-17 National T20 Cup.
Following his stellar performance in the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy, he was offered a contract to play for Trinbago Knight Riders in the 2017 Caribbean Premier League. In the year following, Shadab signed with the Brisbane Heat for the 7th season of the Big Bash League
International Career
Shadab started his international career in cricket for the first time in his home country of the West Indies. T20 Career
Shadab’s T20 career started in Barbados at Kensington Oval in Barbados on 26 March 2017. It was the first time he played a T20 game. He was able to control his wickets Lendl Simmons as well as Sunil Narine with a remarkable efficiency rate.
It is interesting to note that he took three wickets in the initial eight balls. Pakistan beat India in the match and won the series 2-1. Shadab was presented with an award called the Man of the Series Award during his first T20I tournament.

ODI Career
Shadab Khan was the first player to make the One Day International (ODI) debut for Pakistan against the West Indies on 7 April 2017 at the Providence Cricket Ground in Guyana. He was the key wicket of wicketkeeper Shai Hope and captain Jason Holder. However, his team was defeated by four wickets, despite posting 308 runs.
Test Career
On April 30, 2017, Shadab made his debut in the test against the same team at the Kensington Oval in Barbados. However, Shadab couldn’t perform well during his Test debut. He scored only 16 runs and only took one wicket over 40 overs.
