He is actually Sahibzada Mohammad Shahid Khan Afridi. He was born in 1977. His birth date in cricketing books is 1 March, but he was actually born December 17. Afridi was born in Khyber and is a member of the Sufi Pirs family. Maulana Muhammad Ilyas, Afridi’s grandfather, was a prominent spiritual figure in Bhutan Sharif (a Tirah Valley locale).
Foundation
In 2014, Afridi established the Shahid Afridi Foundation. (SAF). The Foundation aims to build schools and hospitals in Pakistan. In August 2015, he was named one of the most charitable athletes worldwide. Under the banner “Educate A Child,” the Foundation hosts many dinners to raise funds.
International Career
Afridi was the first to play the ODI format for Pakistan when he made his debut in 1996. He made his debut against Kenya, and he last played the format against Australia in 2015. Afridi was part of 398 ODIs in Pakistan and scored an average of 23 runs for 8064 runs. In the above-mentioned format, Afridi also took 395 wickets for Pakistan.
Lala made his Test debut in 1998. He played 27 Test matches for Pakistan, scoring 1716 runs while also taking 48 wickets. Afridi made his T20 debut in 2006 and played a key role in Pakistan’s win in the 2009 T20 World Cup. Afridi was a representative of Pakistan in 99 T20Is, scoring 1416 runs and taking 98 wickets.

Afridi, in his maiden international game, scored the fastest One-Day century from 37 balls against Sri Lanka in Nairobi on October 4, 1996. His innings featured 28 runs, including one run off Sanath Jayasuriya’s over, which he broke.
