Shivam Dube, born on June 26, 1993, is an Indian cricketer who represents Mumbai in domestic cricket and the Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He is an all-rounder, batting left-handed and bowling right-arm at a medium pace. Shivam made his debut for the India cricket team in November 2019.
Family
Shivam Dube is the son of Rajesh Dube and Madhuri Dube. His father, Rajesh, used to run a dairy farm business and later started a company that deals with washing jeans. Additionally, Rajesh is the owner of a factory located in Bhiwandi, Maharashtra.
Shivam’s mother is a housewife and he grew up in Mumbai with his two sisters, Priyanka Prabhu and Pooja Dube. During his childhood, Shivam had an ordinary lifestyle. However, he was passionate about cricket from a young age and eventually pursued it as a profession.
Early Life
Born on June 26, 1993, in Mumbai, India, Shivam Dube had to stop playing cricket at the age of 14 due to being overweight and having financial constraints that prevented him from working on his fitness. However, he returned to the game at the age of 19 and was soon selected to play for the Mumbai Under-23s team.
Education
Shivam Dube attended Hansraj Morarji Public School in his hometown for his primary education. After that, he enrolled at the Rizvi College of Arts, Science, and Commerce in Mumbai.
Personal Life
Shivam Dube got married to Anjum Khan on July 16, 2021, in Mumbai. The wedding ceremony incorporated both Hindu and Islamic customs. The couple welcomed their first child, a baby boy, on February 13, 2022.
Domestic Career
Shivam Dube made his debut in the Twenty20 format for Mumbai in the 2015-16 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy on January 18, 2016. He made his List A debut for Mumbai in the 2016-17 Vijay Hazare Trophy on February 25, 2017.
International Career
Shivam Dube was included in India’s T20I squad for the series against Bangladesh in October 2019. He made his T20I debut for India on November 3, 2019, against Bangladesh. Later that same month, he was named in India’s ODI squad for their series against the West Indies. Dube made his ODI debut for India against the West Indies on December 15, 2019.
IPL
Shivam Dube was bought by the Royal Challengers Bangalore for a whopping 5 crore in the 2019 Indian Premier League season auction. His exceptional hitting performance in the domestic circuit grabbed the attention of RCB. Just before the auction, he had smashed Swapnil Singh for 5 consecutive sixes in an over.

According to sources, Shivam has yet to live up to his potential in bowling, as his average speed of approximately 125 km/h is not considered satisfactory. He needs to invest more effort into improving his skills.
