She made her film debut in 1994, playing Govinda on the screen in “Aag.’ Sonali struggled for many years to make herself a star. Her first films were “Naaraaz,” “The Don Gaddar “Takkar,” “Rakshak,” and ‘English Babu Desi Mem’, among others. in Mani Ratnam’s ‘Bombay she featured in the song of the same title “Humma Humma.’
Sonali Bendre later received critical appreciation for her performance in films like “Diljale,” “Bhai,” Zakhm, ‘And Sarfarosh as well as ‘Duplicate and ‘Hum Saath-Saath Hain,’ ‘Tera Saath Rahein,’ ‘Anahat, and many more.
