Early Life

Urwa is a native of Karachi She was raised in Karachi and later relocated to Islamabad and her entire family. Her education was at Bahria College, Islamabad. Prior to her TC and film career, she worked as an actor and a video jockey (VJ).

She was also passionate about acting since her time in school. She participated in auditions for a play at the theatre in Islamabad as she was attending high school. Even though Urwa was not chosen for the production, however, she was given the opportunity to be part of the backstage team.

That’s how she became a part of the entertainment industry. After that, Urwa began to perform in more theater plays. It was during these that she was noticed by the creator of a musical program. So, she traveled to Karachi to take part in the auditions on her own and was hired as VJ. Then, she stepped into the world of Pakistani dramas.

Urwa made her debut film in 2014 in the film Namaloom Afraad starring Fahad Mustafa Mohsin Abbas Haider as well as Javed Sheikh. She also had the chance to be part of a Bollywood film with Emraan Hashmi, however, she turned it down because of the bold scenes.

In 2017 Urwa is set to be seen on the silver screen in mega-budget films like Punjab Nahi Jaungi, Namaloom Afraad 2, and Rangreza.
