Born on December 13, 1960, Daggubati Venkatesh is an Indian actor who is primarily known for his work in Telugu cinema, as well as a few Hindi language films. He made his mark in the industry with several box-office hits early in his career, including the romantic film “Prema” (1989), the action drama “Bobbili Raja” (1990), and the action-adventure film “Kshana Kshanam” (1991), which was screened at the Fribourg Festival and went on to achieve a cult following.
Family
Daggubati Venkatesh’s father’s name is Ramanaidu Daggubati, who was a film producer and a former MP. His mother’s name is Rajeswari Daggubati, he is a homemaker. Daggubati Venkatesh has a brother named Suresh Babu Daggubati, who is also a film producer, and a sister named Lakshmi Ramanaidu Daggubati.
In terms of his marital status, Daggubati Venkatesh is married to Neeraja Daggubati. They have a son named Arjun Daggubati, and three daughters named Aashritha Daggubati, Bhavana Daggubati, and Hayavahini.
Early Life
Venkatesh was born on December 13, 1960, into a Telugu family in Madras (present-day Chennai), India. His father, D. Ramanaidu, was a film producer and former Member of Parliament, and his mother was Rajeshwari. He has an elder brother named Suresh Babu, who runs Suresh Productions, and a younger sister named Lakshmi.
Venkatesh completed his schooling at Don Bosco in Egmore, Chennai, and later pursued a degree in commerce from Loyola College in Chennai. He then went on to obtain an MBA from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey in the US.
Upon his return to India, Venkatesh initially intended to pursue a career in film production. However, he ultimately decided to become an actor and made his debut in the Telugu film industry.
Education
Daggubati Venkatesh attended Don Bosco Matriculation Higher Secondary School in Chennai for his school education, Loyola College in Chennai, and Middlebury Institute of International Studies in California, USA for his college education. To answer the question regarding his educational qualifications, Daggubati Venkatesh holds a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree.

Personal Life
In 1985, Venkatesh tied the knot with Neeraja, and the couple is blessed with four children, including three daughters and one son. Venkatesh’s eldest daughter Aashritha got married to Vinayak Reddy, who is the grandson of R. Surender Reddy, the chairman of Hyderabad Race Club. Venkatesh’s sister Lakshmi got married to actor Nagarjuna, and they have a son named Naga Chaitanya.
Career
Venkatesh made his debut in the film industry as a child artist in the movie Prema Nagar in 1971. He made his first appearance as the lead actor in Kaliyuga Pandavulu (1986), directed by K. Raghavendra Rao, where he starred alongside Khushbu Sundar, who also made her debut with the film. Venkatesh won the Nandi Special Jury Award for his performance in the film.
In 2019, he acted in Venky Mama, alongside his nephew Naga Chaitanya, which turned out to be a commercial success, grossing over ₹72 crore worldwide. He also lent his voice in Telugu for the Genie character in the movie Aladdin in the same year. In 2021, his movie Narappa was released directly on Amazon Prime, marking his first direct-to-OTT release.
