Her acting debut was in 2002’s Telugu film Nee Thodu Kavali in which she played a housewife at 15. This film failed however it helped Charmy to be noticed by the southern Indian cinema industry. The next movie she made was T. Rajendra’s Kadhal Azhivathillai which was made in Tamil along with Silambarasan.

She also acted in the Malayalam film by Vinayan, titled Kattuchembakam. Her return to Telugu films came through Nike Manasichaanu a film with Srikanth and then Sri Anjaneyam, directed by Krishna Vamsi. It was followed by a drama film Chanti and starring Ravi Teja.

Charmy finally received a major debut with a film in Telugu with Gowri where she was in a film with Sumanth. In another film, Charmy paired with Ravi Teja in Dongala Mutha, directed by Ram Gopal Varma.
