Career
During his Ph.D. journey, Kumar made a significant decision to change his name to “Kumar Vishwas” to separate his identity from his caste. In 1994, he embarked on his career as a lecturer in Rajasthan. Subsequently, he began teaching Hindi literature at Lala Lajpat Rai College. Kumar Vishwas gained recognition through his widely acclaimed comedy show KV Sammelan, which premiered on September 29, 2018, and was broadcasted on the Aaj Tak channel.
Career as a Politician
In 2012, Kumar Vishwas became actively involved in Indian politics by joining the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) as a volunteer. He later became a member of the party’s National Executive. Kumar had a long-standing acquaintance with the party’s founder, Arvind Kejriwal, dating back to 2005. Before his involvement with the AAP, Kumar actively supported Anna Hazare’s anti-corruption movement in India in 2011. In 2014, he took a step further by contesting in the Lok Sabha election.
