Mitchell Aaron Starc, an Australian international cricketer, was born on 30 January 1990. He plays for both the Australian national team as well as New South Wales in domestic cricket. Starc is a left-arm fast-bower and a lower-order left-handed batsman. He represents Australia in the three major formats of international cricket: Twenty20 Internationals, One Day Internationals, and Test cricket.
Starc is regarded as one the greatest limited-overs bowlers ever and was the highest-rated ODI bowler in 2015. Starc started playing international cricket in 2010 but was plagued by injuries throughout his career. His consistent performance throughout matches brought him international attention.

Mitchell Starc has two younger siblings. They are named Amanda Starc, and Tay Starc. Tay was the youngest of the Stark children. Mitchell Starc married Alyssa, his childhood friend. They have been in a relationship for several years and were finally married on April 15, 2016. Alyssa was also a wicketkeeper, and batsman and played for the Australian Women’s Team. She currently plays for the Sydney Sixers in Big Bash League.
He is of Slovene descent. Starc is the older brother of Australian Olympic high jumper Brandon Starc. Starc was engaged to Alyssa, a fellow Australian cricketer, in 2015. They were married on the 15th of April 2016. Starc and Healy were the third married couple to play Test cricket together, following Roger and Ruth Prideaux who represented England in the 1950s and 1960s, and Guy and Rasanjali de Alwis who represented Sri Lanka during the 1980s.
Early Domestic Career
Starc, a member of Australia’s National Cricket Team, began playing cricket in the northern districts at the age of 9 as a wicketkeeper. Starc was a Northern Districts Cricket Association (NDCA), representative cricketer, and attended Homebush Boys High School where he played for the school’s first-grade cricket team. He was a former junior cricketer at the Berala Sports Cricket Club, Sydney.

Early International Career
Starc was selected to replace Alex Napier, who had been injured, in Australia’s tour through India in late 2010. This was due to his outstanding performances during the 2010 winter. Starc made his international debut during this tour. He played in an ODI against India on the 20th of October 2010. Starc did not play and was unbeaten. Starc was out for his second ODI in the final match in Australia’s three-match series with Sri Lanka.
IPL and BBL Career
Starc was signed by the Sydney Sixers for the Big Bash League, (BBL), in 2012. The Champions League T20 followed. Starc was also a player for the Sydney Sixers during the Australian summer of 2011-12. Stark was the third most wicket-taker, with 13 matches out of six. The Sixers won this tournament.
