Paul Robert Stirling (born 3 September 1990) is an Irish cricketer. Stirling is the batsman who opens the game for his Ireland cricket team as well as an occasional right-arm off-break bowler. He is among the top 10 scorers of runs in T20 international cricket. Paul Stirling was one of eleven cricketers who played in Ireland’s very first Test match against Pakistan in May of 2018. He was named vice-captain of the Ireland team in June 2020.
Stirling made his debut in cricket for first-class players in the month of March 2008, when he played in the national team of Ireland at the Intercontinental Cup. In the same year, Stirling began his career in One-Day Internationals (ODIs).
He played for Middlesex’s youth side as well as the Second XI, Stirling signed an agreement for the team in November 2009. The following month, the club awarded him the contract of Cricket Ireland, making him one of the six players who have an all-time contract for the Board. It was the Twenty20 as well as List A debuts for Middlesex in 2011 and 2010 respectively.

His first-class debut was made on March 6, 2008, taking on the UAE team. After that, the player made his List A debut on 27 April 2022 when he played against the Notts team. He made his debut as a player in T20 national cricket on the 27th of June with the Bangladesh team.
On 7 September 2010 in the One Day International against Canada, Stirling made his maiden List-A century by making 177 of them. As a result, Stirling made the highest individual score in the history of Ireland in the course of a One Day International. Stirling was picked in Ireland’s 15-man selection to play in the 2010 World Cup. Ireland had two wins from six games, but it was not enough to advance to the next stage they did finish on a high by winning against the Netherlands.
Aiming for 307 to beat a friendly batting wicket Stirling started the game alongside team captain William Porterfield. The two shared a total of 177 runs, which set the record for Ireland’s opening wicket for ODIs. Stirling lost 101 runs and 100 runs, with his century coming from 70 deliveries. In September of 2018 In September 2018, he was selected for the Kandahar squad for the inaugural version of the Afghanistan Premier League tournament. The following month, he was selected as a member of Paarl Rocks’ team for the inaugural version of the Mzansi Super League T20 tournament. In July the team was chosen to join Belfast Titans.
