Rilee Roscoe Rossouw (born 9 October 1989) is a South African cricketer who played for South Africa between 2014 and 2016, before making his return to cricket on July 20, 2022. The last time he was in South Africa he played domestic cricket for Knights and Free State before signing a Kolpak agreement in January 2017 with Hampshire at the beginning of England in January 2017. He is a left-handed batsman as well as a right-arm off-spin bowler.

Rossouw made his debut as a first-class player in November 2007, playing for Free State against Easterns, playing in the third position, he scored the most points in the game with 83. His innings comprised 13 fours. After the conclusion of his debut season, Rossouw was promoted to franchise cricket and played 3 Twenty20 games with the Eagles.

Rossouw had a long-running role for the Eagles team in the 2008/09 season. During the SuperSport Series, he was the top scorer for the team with 765 runs, including three centuries. His first century in the first class came with the Titans in November of 2008 and he scored 106 runs which included 20 boundary runs.

In the match that followed in March 2009, he scored 109 runs in an aggregate of 178. No other batsman scored more than 16. The innings, however, were unsuccessful because the Eagles were defeated by their league-leading team. In the one-day format, he also hit his first century. He hit 131 off 108 balls to beat the Warriors.

International Cricket

While studying at Grey College in Bloemfontein Rossouw was selected to be part of the South African school’s team. The first time he played with the South Africa under-19s was in the second “Test” with Bangladesh on December 7, 2007. Also, he played in a match against India before playing in 2008’s U/19 Cricket World Cup. In the World Cup, he played all six games and scored 136 runs with an average of 34.00 when South Africa reached the final.

Rossouw was picked as part of the South Africa A squad for the tour in Bangladesh as well as Sri Lanka in 2010, during which time which he scored 131 runs from 150 balls against Sri Lanka A, sharing 100-run stands together with Dean Elgar and Jonathan Vanier.

PSL Career
