Sikandar Raza Biography

Sikandar Raza Yett (born 24 April 1986) is a Pakistani-born Zimbabwean international cricketer who is a player in all formats, primarily in the role of a batter. The family was raised in Sialkot, Raza emigrated to Zimbabwe in 2002, along and his entire family.

Family

He is from a family of Punjabi speakers. Muslim family. The father of the son, Tasadaq Hussian Raza relocated to Zimbabwe after a move to Japan at the age of 22 in 2002. His uncles and father have also been cricketers and hoped to represent Pakistan However, his father eventually ventured into motor parts manufacturing. There is a brother younger than him called Taymoor Raza Butt.

Early Life

Raza was born in Sialkot and was a member of the Punjabi-speaking Kashmiri family. He was a student at his school, the Pakistan Air Force Public School Lower Topa for three years and aspired to become a Pakistan Air Force pilot however his dream was put to rest when he failed the vision test, which was required for selection into the Pakistan air force at the time.

As of 2002, Raza relocated with family members to Zimbabwe. He then moved to Scotland and pursued an associate’s degree in computer engineering at Glasgow Caledonian University. Glasgow Caledonian University.

He attended school at Pakistan Air Force College, Lower Topa, Pakistan. He completed a bachelor’s degree in software engineering from Glasgow Caledonian University, Scotland.

Career

Domestic

On the 12th of April, 2007 He made his debut as a first-class player for Northerns against Easterns in the 2007 Logan Cup. In 2007 He also made his List A debut. At first, he was on List A for Northerns but later, he switched to playing in the Mashonaland Eagles.

In 2010 the player played his Twenty20 debut for the Southern Rocks against the Desert Vipers. He was a member of a Zimbabwe XI team before the Bangladesh tour to Zimbabwe began. Zimbabwe XI won the two matches.

International Career

Raza made his debut as an ODI player for Zimbabwe in May 2013 in Bangladesh and scored just three runs in the field at number three, making him the 116th player for Zimbabwe in this format. Raza also became the first non-residential cricketer to represent Zimbabwe on the international stage.
