Plot
Sultan Ali Khan, a middle-aged former wrestling champion, resides in the quiet town of Rewari, Haryana, leading a solitary existence. Aakash Oberoi, the creator of a privately owned mixed martial arts league supported by Mr. Patel, is persuaded by his father to enlist Sultan’s participation to revive the league’s dwindling popularity.
As per Govind, in 2008, Sultan becomes smitten with Aarfa Hussain, a talented wrestler at the state level and the daughter of a local wrestling coach. Initially, Aarfa maintains a distant attitude towards Sultan, but eventually, she accepts his friendship. However, when Sultan professes their commitment to each other, Aarfa rebuffs him, asserting that she will only marry a well-trained wrestler.

Development
The project was earlier announced in June 2015 with a teaser released on YouTube. Khan will be seen portraying a Haryana-based wrestler in the film. To prepare for the film, Khan underwent wrestling training under the guidance of Larnell Stovall.
Music
The music for Sultan is skillfully composed by the duo Vishal–Shekhar, while the lyrics are beautifully penned by Irshad Kamil. The soundtrack album, comprising fourteen songs, was released on May 31, 2016. The original soundtrack includes nine songs, and on June 6, 2016, four additional songs sung by Salman Khan were released as an extension of the album.
