Swara Bhasker (also known as Bhaskar born on April 9, 1988) is an Indian actress who appears in Hindi films. Most well-known for her supporting work in mainstream productions, as well as leading in independent films, she has been awarded the award twice. Screen Awards and has been nominated for the Filmfare Award on three occasions.
Swara made her film debut in her role as a co-star in 2009’s film Madholal Keep Walking, a commercial failure. The film received more attention for her part as a supporting actress in the commercially popular love story Tanu Weds Manu. Her performance was well-received by critics, and she was awarded a Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress nomination.

Swara Bhasker was born on the 9th of April 1988, in Delhi in the family of C. Uday Bhaskar, an Indian Navy officer of Telugu descent as well as his spouse Ira Bhaskar, a professor of cinema studies at Jawaharlal Nehru University in Delhi who is from Bihari origin. Her maternal grandparents were from Varanasi.

Personal Life
Bhasker is a prominent opponent of the Citizenship (Amendment) Act and the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. She has been a participant in the Citizenship Amendment Act protests. She was married in February of 2023. got married to an activist Fahad Ahmad.
Acting Career
Before Bhasker began acting in films, she was part of N. K. Sharma’s “Act One” theater group in Delhi. She moved to Mumbai in the year 2008 and made her acting debut in the movie Madholal Keep Walking, which was shown at the 33rd Cairo International Film Festival but was not a success at the box office in India. Then, she played a secondary part in a supporting role in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s thriller Guzaarish (2010) with Hrithik Roshan as well as Aishwariya Rai.
Bhasker was then seen in Srinivas Sunderrajan’s black & film noir The Untitled Kartik Krishnan Project it was described as the world’s first mumblecore movie that was made with an amount of $40,000 (US$500) and finished in just one year.
It was the very one of the first Indian films to screen during the Transilvania International Film Festival. But the films Guzaarish along with The Untitled Kartik Krishnan Project were box-office disappointments, and Bhasker did not receive much attention for her work.
