Personal Life

She was born in Tamil Nadu to a Telugu family that hails from Andhra. Her father was employed in the field of film production. She has a daughter Naresh who is also an actor after her marriage for the first time. after she divorced her first husband, she began living with the actor Krishna whom she was married to and married to her.

Career

She started her journey as an actor. Then she was able to produce 44 movies, which are the most directed by women, and was given the Guinness Record in 2002. In recognition of her immense contribution to Telugu film, she was presented with the Raghupathi Venkaiah Award in 2008. She is among the few female directors who have directed the legendary actor Shivaji Ganesan.

Her debut came in the year 1950 with the Tamil film Machcha Rekha. She was a young artist when she was seven. In 1957, at 11 years old, she made her debut in the Telugu film Panduranga Mahatmvam. She made her name famous through the Malayalam film Bhargavi Nilayam in which she was starring alongside Prem Nazir. Later, she starred in the film Udyogastha together with him in the year 1967.
